| Nadr Riad |
At the age of 14 Nadr Riad moved to Portland, Oregon with his family. Originally hailing from Cairo, Egypt, this change proved significant in shaping his future, but it wasn't until after Nadr moved to San Francisco that he discovered motorcycles. Motorcycle road racing simply just didn't exist in Egypt. Without any formal training Nadr rode all over the bay area teaching himself how to ride. A few years later he was involved in an accident that nearly took his life. But this unfortunate turn of events did not deter him at all. His passion for speed had awoke and he was even more determined to ride.
But it was all for the thrill of the ride. Nadr hadn't even considered riding professionally until his mother planted the idea in his head. She suggested that if he waned to go fast, go to the track. After one track day he was hooked. In 2007 he started racing and after competing in only one race with the American Federation of Motorcycles (AFM) he advanced to the expert class to complete the season. His talent was apparent. Even as a novice he placed in top spots and won trophies. San Jose Yamaha took notice and has been there every step of the way helping him get closer to achieving his goals. Since then Nadr has competed with American Federation of Motorcycles (AFM), Utah Sport Bike Association (UTSBA), Willow Springs Motorcycle club (WSMC) and in 2009 received his pro license with AMA Pro Racing.
Nadr has achieved all this while working as well as attending school at the Academy of Art University. In 2011 he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design specializing in motorcycle design. Motorcycles and racing are his passions. He has a brilliant career ahead of him so keep your eyes on #250, if you can...
